What airport should I fly into?

Queen Alia International Airport, which is about 1 hour away from the campus.

How much does a taxi from the airport to the campus cost?

Transportation from the airport to the Theodore Schneller School campus when you arrive and from campus to the airport when you depart are covered by PGLA. Should you choose to depart from a location other than the campus, you will need to cover the cost of the taxi yourself. The average taxi fare to the airport is about $36 (25 Jordanian Dinar).

What is the address of the Theodore Schneller School campus?

The Theodore Schneller School campus is located at Marka, Amman 11134. 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northwest of Amman, Jordan

When should I arrive and depart (and book flights, if necessary)?

The official PGLA program starts on November 21, 2016, which means you are expected to arrive no later than November 20. The last scheduled PGLA events conclude by the night of November 27. You are expected to depart for the airport by November 27. Accommodation is provided starting November 20 until November 27.

Where will I be staying?

Your PGLA fees include your accommodation in our campus from November 20  until November 27.

The rooms in the campus are for 2-3people. You will be placed in a double room or triple room with other PGLA participants of the same gender. Should you wish to room single or live outside of campus, please contact us at jordan@pglf.org for clarification and other important details.

What does a room look like?

A double/triple room has: 2 or 3 single beds, 2 bedside tables, wardrobe, towels, shower and toilet.

Where can I learn more about Amman?

Please check the Amman visitors’ website at http://www.visitjordan.com/. You will be able to check the weather, read sightseeing tips, learn more about the city’s history, the restaurant scene, and other entertainment.

How much does PGLA cost?

The total price for PGLA 2016 is 1000 USD. The fee includes accommodations, daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, tutorial, tuition, Dead Sea day visit, Wadi Rum camping and transportation to and from the airport.

Note: Other than the PGLA cost, all participants are responsible for their flight arrangements, visa process, Petra entry fee and their pocket money.

Is there financial aid available?

Yes, we are delighted to offer financial aid for qualified participants. In order to be considered for financial, you need to apply by October 15, 2016.

How I can apply for financial aid?

In order to be considered for financial aid, you should make sure to submit your application no later than October 15, 2016. Please, make sure to fill out the “scholarship” part of the application form, where you are asked to explain why you deserve to be awarded a scholarship for participation in PGLA.

Will I receive a certificate upon the completion of the program?

Yes, each participant will receive a certificate of participation upon successful completion of the program. The certificate can be used for any other PGLF applications in the future.
